The Alta Via 1 is a long distance hiking trail located in the Italian Alps. It is approximately 115 kilometers long and features a cumulative elevation gain of over  5,600 meters of elevation gain (the exact distance and elevation vary depending on route choices). The hike begins at Lago di Braies and officially ends in Belluno, although most hikers choose to finish earlier in La Pissa.
